My A-level Textiles project was focused on exploring ‘The Fabulous History of Drag’ which launched my fascination in all things eccentric and glamorous, leading me to design and make costumes influenced by drag artists and culture.

Large poppy using hand embroidery and free-hand machine embroidery, batik and appliqué and beading 38cm L, 38cm W

Flower hand embroidery using daisy stitch technique and French knots 16cm L, 16cm W
Final piece: Through this project, I channelled my self expression through these pieces leading to developing a drag character representing who I am & my love for drag, 'The Pink Lady'.
